XO Crystal oscillator connection.

XI The reference clock signal is generated by connecting a

crystal oscillator element to these pins.

If an external clock (with a frequency of a few MHz) is used,

connect that signal to the XI pin through a series resistor of

about 13 kΩ, and leave the XO pin open.
