Write protect mode
The card has a write protect switch on the opposite
edge to the connector edge. When it is switched on,
the card will be placed into a write protect mode,
where data can be read from the card but it cannot
be written to it. The WP output pin is set to a high
level when the card is in write protect mode and VCC
MITSUBISHI MEMORY CARD
FLASH MEMORY CARDS
is applied. When the card is not in write protect
mode the WP output pin is set to a low level when
VCC is applied. By reading the state of the WP
output the host system can easily check whether the
card is in write protect mode or not.
